What is included in the rent?
Prices are variable on room size but addtional features include: heating, lighting, water, a manned reception, communal meeting/seating areas, building insurance, discounts on conference room hire and free usage of up to 5 hours for interview rooms, 24 hour access 7 days a week, security patrols, and much more. Do you have conference / meeting rooms?
The btc's first-class facilities are ideally suited to meet your company's requirements for interviews, seminars, conference, meetings and networking events. The services are available to hire to both tenants of the centre and external clients. The btc has 10 professional meeting and conference rooms that can host events ranging from a 2 person interview to a large scale event of over 140 people - and everything in between.

What added benefits will I get if I rent an office?
The btc aims to provide the complete solution for aspiring innovators and entrepreneurs. It offers advice and support, specialist training, access to finance and introductions to other knowledge based companies and agencies. With these services and the high quality facilities within the building, the btc enables its users to effectively showcase their businesses. The btc works closely with regional agencies, enterprise hubs and universities to offer mentoring, training, educational visits and work experience.

Will I have to pay business rates?
Yes, these are charged separately and are payable directly to Stevenage Borough Council. For offices with a rateable value of less than £6000 PA (this is not the rates payable) then a 50% small business rate relief may apply.

Who are Wenta Innovation?
The extension to the btc has been funded by Stevenage Borough Council (SBC), the East of England Development Agency (EEDA) and Government Office East (GO East). It is managed by Wenta Innovation, a division of Wenta the leading Enterprise Agency in Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire. Since its inception in 1983, Wenta has provided business advice to more than 15,000 people and assisted more than 4000 businesses to get off the ground. In additional Wenta has a wealth of experience in managing business centres having accommodated over 1,000 companies in its business premises in Watford and Potters Bar over the past 25 years.

How do you support new businesses?
Wenta Innovation have recently launched their new incubation centre, My Incubator. This offers entrepreneurs a facility free of charge where there can grow their business. My Incubator offers clients a dedicated advisor, telephony and broadband, a hot-desk, specialist advice and access to contacts, events and training courses.

What is the difference between the Chells and btc?
The btc provides flexible office accommodation for knowledge based / fast growth businesses, whilst Chells is a series of small workshops and offices available for most types of business.
The workshops at Chells range from 67 m2 to 126 m2. The license includes: building insurance, free on-site parking, 24 hour access, 7 days a week, toilet/washroom facilities within units. There are also 6 small offices available at Chells.

Yes there are 4 showers at the btc.

How many people will be employed on site once the building reaches full capacity?
Possibly between 350 to 400.

What is the Green Travel Plan?
Our Green travel plan aims to reduce the environmental impact of the btc's demands by raising awareness and reducing unnecessary travel amongst staff and visitors, and encouraging environmentally friendly behaviour.

Do you have catering facilities?
Yes we have a bistro onsite and we provide full catering facilities for meeting and conferences as well as light refreshments depending on your needs provided by eatlunch.co.uk
