Stevenage Borough CouncilThe Business and Technology Centre (btc) is owned by Stevenage Borough Council. The Council is very proud of the facilities the btc offers with the new extension being part of the council’s vision to create quality business space and support in the heart of Stevenage’s business community. This £7M investment was jointly funded by the Council, EEDA (the Regional Development Agency) and the Government Growth Area Fund. This development is destined to be the primary innovation and technology centre in Hertfordshire aimed at supporting small and medium sized businesses as well as promoting innovation. Commenting on the extension Cllr Simon Speller, Executive Member for Economy, Enterprise and Transport, said, “The btc has a very important role to play in helping young businesses to get off the ground and also in promoting enterprise and innovation in local schools and colleges. The new extension makes it the premier business centre not only in Stevenage but for the whole of Hertfordshire.”
